An exploration in texture
Ether Silver & Home is an eclectic mix of homeware and photography.
Taking inspiration from traditional craft techniques and mixing these with contemporary design, each piece is 100% hand made and bespoke to it’s owner.
The main materials currently being used in the workshop are Welsh Oak, Ash, Yew and reclaimed wood. All our materials are from sustainable sources or made from recycled wood, all sourced whenever possible in the United Kingdom.
Commissioned work for custom designs welcome.
The Story
Ether, Silver & Home was established by Faye L-Griffiths in 2017. This small homeware business is located in South Wales.
Traditional techniques predominantly wood turning, plays a key part in all Ether Silver & Home collections. As a 3rd generation wood turner, Faye follows in the steps of her grandfather and father, spending many hours at the lathe turning bowls, decorations, vases and stands.
Ether Silver & Home was the long time passion project turned business of Faye’s. With a Fine Art and Photography background blending with interior design experience in previous employment Ether Silver & Home brings to life Faye’s creative skills through different homeware ranges, creating functional, beautiful objects for your home using predominantly local and sustainably sourced wood.
As ESH grows its collections from the seasonal decorations and lighting, the core values of using sustainably sourced materials is still strong; working with local timber merchants and collectors, knowing the history and story of the woods used in each piece adds not only to the pieces themselves but makes sure that as a business we are responsible for our impact on the environment.

Owner & Designer
Ether Silver & Home
“As Ether Silver & Home develops and grows, I have brought more textiles into the collections and expanded the ranges of products on offer. As we try to make the world more sustainable I often find myself looking back to products that are not so commonly used such as fabric napkins, and find myself thinking… ‘Why did we stop using them?!‘ So along with the napkin holders, I have started to produce a small range of napkins to go along with. The seasonal decorations are being produced each year with new colours and wood blends to add to ever growing personal collections which I love seeing! I also love it when they get used for other purposes, as light pulls. With every decoration turning out a little different you are guaranteed not to have the same as anyone else. Bringing back individuality and uniqueness to your home.”
